Two officials killed overnight in separate attacks in Mogadishu & Beledweyne

2 officials were killed this evening in separate attacks in Deynile District of Benadir and Beledweyne, Hiiraan.

In the first incident, local media report a group of unidentified armed men killed Abdi Abdulle (Abdi Juge), the chairman of the Department of Kurdamac neighborhood of Deynile District.
After the killing, security forces pursued the gunmen who killed the governor, and wounded one of the three men, who was carrying a pistol which is believed to have been used to kill the local official, according to security authorities.

Two other men escaped from the hands of the security forces, and operations are currently underway in many parts of Daynile district tonight to track down the fugitives witnesses report.
On the second incident, Farah Dirir Abdi, the chairman of Hiran Regional Youth Association, was killed by unknown gunmen in Beledweyne on Tuesday night, according to district officials.
Security officials closed the area after arriving to find all culprits escaped having immediately fled the scene, with the officials dead body on the ground.
