Armed robbers killed in Daynile this morning

Security forces in Daynile district this morning killed two armed robbers and captured a third in Gubta neighborhood in Sombak.

According to reports, the armed robbers on a Fekon motorcycle tried to escape and clashed with security forces in Daynile, killing two of them.

The bodies of the two men had been at the scene for some time, and a large crowd had gathered at the scene, with some claiming that the men had their stolen phones.

Police at Daynile police station were handed over the bodies of the slain bandits and the stolen properties in their possession, and arrested another member of the gang nearby.

Armed robbers, who often use three-wheeler tuktuk or bajaaj and Fekon motorcycles, have been harassing residents in some parts of Mogadishu past few months, robbing people at night and after during morning prayers.
