Bashir Jama Goobe appointed state minister

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, has today issued a decree appointing Bashir Mohamed Jama (Goobe) as the State Minister for Public Works and Reconstruction.
Prime Minister Roble’s appointment was part of a recent agreement between him and outgoing Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo that ended a long-running dispute over the Ikran Tahlil Farah case.
Prime Minister Roble had previously appointed Bashir Goobe as the interim head of NISA, a move strongly opposed by President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, who also appointed Yasin Farey.
