Breaking; Mogadishu Bomb explosion targets security chiefs

More details are emerging from a recent explosion that took place in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, with its echoes heard in most districts of Benadir region.

The blast reportedly took place between the Zoobe and Banadir intersections in Mogadishu, causing various casualties.

Credible sources told MTVSomali.com that the chief of Benadir Police Administration Farhan Qaroole survived the blast, but that some of his bodyguards were injured in the blast.

There are reprots that there were also casualties among civilians on the road and with damage to businesses in the area.

The situation at the scene of the blast is now tense, and Somali government security forces have now arrived and secured the area, conducting investigations.
