Chinese Ambassador to Somalia receives credentials

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohamed Abdirizak Mohamud, received a copy of the credentials of the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Fei Shengchao, in the capital Mogadishu on Monday.

Mohamed Abdirizak stressed that his ministry will facilitate the work of the new Chinese ambassador in order to fulfill his duties by strengthening the strong ties between the two countries and the two friendly people, noting the importance of this relationship to reach a new level of partnership and cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, agriculture, education, health and energy.

For his part, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his country’s commitment to enhancing the long-standing deep ties with Somalia by advancing multi-faceted cooperation in the interests of both countries, expressing his confidence to increase Chinese aid to Somalia in achieving stability and development.
