Delegate member killed in Mogadishu

Al-Shabaab militants have assassinated one of the delegates who selected the members of the 10th parliament of the Federal Government of Somalia in a neighborhood in Warta-nabada district of Benadir region.
The man killed was identified by al-Shabaab as Ismail Mohamed Aden, and with the assailants fleeing the scene.
After the killing, Somali government forces went to the scene of the killing, conducting a search operation for the perpetrators but were unsuccessful.
Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the killing, and a statement on its website said the man killed was part of a delegation selected by lawmakers but did not provide further details.
Mogadishu has seen an increase in robbery and killings lately as the federal government preoccupies itself with the elections.
