Details emerge of an Explosion in Jowhar targeting regional governor

Reports from Middle Shabelle region say that an explosion took place in Jowhar, the capital of Hirshabelle region.
The blast reportedly targeted a vehicle belonging to Governor Ahmed Mayre Makaraan.
Witnesses told local media that the blast occurred seconds after the vehicle passed by, and heavy gunfire was heard after the blast.
The governor was not in the car at the time, and no casualties have been reported so far.
Security forces arrived at the scene of the blast and conducted an operation.
Last week, a landmine blast injured members of parliament in the Hirshabelle administration.
