Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee recieves complaint against Mahdi Guled’s seat

The Electoral Disputes Resolution Committee has suspended the announcement of the official results of the seat number HOP #239 by-election win of Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Guled, which was held yesterday at the Police Training Center Gen. Kahiye, Mogadishu.
The committee said in a statement that it has received a complaint from the incumbent candidate, Hussein Arab Isse, and instructed the Electoral Commission to halt the announcement of the official results of the seat until the Arbitration Committee decides on the case.

Purpose: Notice of Suspension Announcing the Official Result of Seat Number HOP #239;
The Indirect Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee (IEDC) for 2020/2021, in accordance with the Code of Conduct, issued on 1 October 2020, would like to inform the Federal Electoral Implementation Commission that a complaint has been filed against Chair HOP #239.
Plaintiff: Candidate: Hussein Arab Isse
The Indirect Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee for 2020/2021, in exercising of its mandate, directs the Federal Electoral Implementation Commission to suspend the announcement of the Official seat Number HOP #239 result from 02/11/2021 while the Tribunal decides on the case filed against that seat.
The Tribunal will complete the investigation of the evidence, the hearing of the parties involved, and the adjudication of the case within seven (7) days from 02/11/2021 and will forward the decision to the plaintiff and all parties concerned within twenty-four (24) hours of the decision being reached in order to handle this case and observe the time of the hearing as set out in the guidelines of the National Consultative Assembly.
