Gorgor army officer killed in Mogadishu

Various reports are coming in from a fatal shooting that took place last night where a special trained officer from the GorGor unit of the Somali Military trained by Turkish Government, was killed.
The officer, identified as Mohamed Ali Yarami, was killed in Wadajir district, according to local media sources.
Reports indicate that the assailants armed with pistols shot dead the deceased, and then fled the scene.
Reports say he was on his way to his home in Wadajir district in Banadir region when he was killed.
After the killing, Somali government security forces arrived at the scene and removed the body of the deceased officer.
Mohamed Ali Yarami was an active young officer in the Special Forces of the Somali National Army (GorGor), according to relatives.
There was no immediate word from Somali security officials on the killing.
In the past, there have been acts of insecurity in Mogadishu, including assassinations and explosions, the latest of which took place last night near the Taleh intersection in Hodan district, causing various casualties.
