The health condition of the Somali government spokesman is good as he was injured in a suicide bombing that took place in Mogadishu this morning.
Mohamed Ibrahim Maalimuu was reportedly slightly injured in the blast and was taken to Digfer General Hospital in Mogadishu.
Reports say that most of the damage was done to the back of the body, but he is in good condition, according to hospital doctors.
A brief statement from Roble’s office also discussed the attack on Maalimuu, saying his injuries were not serious.
The PM H.E @MohamedHRoble strongly condemns the odious terrorist attack targeting Government Spokesman, Mr Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu who sustained injuries today but is in stable condition. The PM wishes Mr @MOALIMUU a quick recovery.

“The PM strongly condemns the odious terrorist attack targeting Government Spokesman, Mr Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu who sustained injuries today but is in stable condition. The PM wishes Mr Moalimu a quick recovery” Prime Minister Roble’s office said in a statement.
The former BBC staffer survived at least four explosions, mostly inflicting serious injuries on the spokesman.
Earlier this week, a suicide bomb blast had targetted a UN Convoy in Mogadishu.
It was preceded by another suicide bombing that killed the director of Radio Mogadishu, Abdiaziz Afrika, on November 20, 2021.
However, Mogadishu is facing a political crisis due to the ongoing tug-of-war between the country’s leaders, which has impacted and added to the escalating insecurity in the Somali capital.
