Gunmen kill Somali Elder inside his home

More details are available from the recent killing of Mohamed Hassan Nur, a Somali traditional elder in Mogadishu.
The killing reportedly took place in the Jungal neighborhood of Yaqshid district, after being attacked by two men armed with pistols.
According to local sources, the assailants reportedly entered the house while he was reciting the Koran and shot him dead, according to local sources.
The assailants fled the scene after the incident, and security forces arrived at the scene.
The body of the deceased was also taken to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Somali Police CID, which is currently conducting further investigations.
The motive behind the shooting of Nabadoon Mohamed Hassan, a well-known figure in Yaqshid district, is not yet known, and his killing is part of a series of insecurity incidents in Mogadishu.
However, Somali government security forces, particularly the police, have stepped up security operations, conducting house-to-house searches in some districts in the Benadir region for the past three nights.
