Jubbaland Forces Arrest Al Shabaab Members

The Jubbaland administration’s intelligence and security forces have conducted security operations in Kismayo in search of Al-Shabaab members.
A statement from the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Jubbaland said that the operation was carried out in all neighborhoods of Kismayo and that members of Al-Shabaab were arrested while others were being tracked down.
They also said that they will share with the community their full report and the on-going activities that will flush out insecurity from the community and the country as a whole.
“We call on all Somalis, especially the people of Kismayo, to remain vigilant and support the operation to eradicate the remnants hiding in the city,” NISA said in a statement.
Kismayo, the capital of Lower Jubba region, has recently witnessed insecurity, prompting NISA forces to launch operations.
