Kenya to sell two Somali Air Force jets for cheap prices

The Kenyan government has unveiled an auction of retired aircraft, seeking to sell, including two aircraft belonging to the Somali National Army and two others belonging to Jubba Airways.

The Kenya Immigration Service has announced that on November 17, 2021, it plans to auction off unused aircraft at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Moi International Airport, Lokichoggio Airport and Wilson Airport.

The aircraft to be auctioned off include two aircraft belonging to the Somali Air Force, registered with 3C-ZZA and 8204, both AN24 aircraft, located between Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), and two Russian aircraft.

There was no one to either repair or pick them up from the Kenyan authorities.

As stated, the required cost is also for KShs. 73,000 ($ 730), including two Jubba Airways EY-534 and 5Y-BXZ aircraft, for $ 4,006 each.
