Kenyan soldiers killed in helicopter crash

A Kenyan military plane has crashed in the Eremet area of Oltinga, Kajiado West, during a training operation, Kenyan media reported.
The newspapers reported that there were at least 23 people on board when the helicopter was seen burning when it crashed.
The plane, carrying Kenyan troops, reportedly killed 10 soldiers on board, while others were rescued with serious injuries.
The Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) also confirmed that the death toll had been recorded in the morning, although no specific details into the casualties were reported by army spokesman Zipporah Kioko.
“It’s unfortunate. After the accident, we suffered casualties. The process of contacting families to provide information and condolences to the KDF is ongoing, ”she said.
It is still unknown what had caused the helicopter to crash.
