Lower Shabelle: Government forces repel attack by Al Shabab

Al-Shabaab militants have attacked a checkpoint manned by Somali government forces in Janale area of Lower Shabelle region, sparking a gun battle.
Residents in Janale told local media that they heard gunshots fired by both sides, and that there were casualties.
Reports say that one Somali government soldier was wounded in the fighting between Al shabab terrorist group and the Somali government forces.
Government officials have said that they have resisted the attack from the Al-Shabaab militant group.
