Missing Somali Dahabshiil employee found dead in Nairobi

The body of Bashir Warsame Abdulle, an employee of Dahabshil Group, has been found in Nairobi, Kenya.

The cause of Bashir’s death is still unknown or who was behind it.

Kenyan authorities have not yet commented on the matter.

Bashir last left home on Tuesday for the mosque in Eastleigh, but did not return, according to his family.

The family said at the time that they did not know why Bahsir, a prominent member of the Somali community in Eastleigh, had gone missing.

The incident comes as several Somalis have gone missing in Nairobi, although such cases have declined in recent months.

Nairobi-based scholar Abdiwahab Abdisamad was abducted in September in Nairobi and held hostage for a week before being released, and it is not yet still clear why he was abducted or who abducted him.

It was also preceded by the abduction of Hafsa Luqmaan, a Somali girl, whose case came to an end after she was found by alive by police, after it had emerged that her friend was behind her kidnapping.

The body of Bashir Mohamed, a Somali-American businessman who had been missing for days, was also found on May 24, 2021.

His body was found in a bush in Mwea area of ​​Kirinyaga region, 180km from Nairobi.
