Mogadishu: Evening blast kills civilian as security deteriorates in the capital

One civilian was killed and another was injured when a grenade was hurled at the Hararyale intersection in Mogadishu.
Somali police officers at a checkpoint at the Hararyale intersection in Warta Nabada district were reportedly attacked in the blast.
A resident told local media that the attack took place after evening prayers.
Residents also said that the troops who were attacked with grenades opened fire in all directions, but no casualties have been reported so far from the their reaction.
Security forces launched an operation in the neighborhoods near the Hararyale intersection in pursuit of the attackers who fled the scene.
This is the second bomb incident in the capital in a single day after a suicide bomber had earlier in the day targeted and injured government spokesman Mohamed Moallimu.
