The governor of Benadir region and the mayor of Mogadishu Omar Mohamud Mahamed (Filish) has strongly condemned the recent bombings and killings in Mogadishu, which killed officials and civilians.
Omar Filish said reports of bombings and killings in Mogadishu are being reported on a daily basis, but there are even more serious problems with drug users.
He also said that the death toll from Al-Shabaab bombings and killings is five times lower than the number of people using drugs, adding that there are groups behind the killings of Somalis in any ways possible.
Finally, the Governor of Benadir Region called on the Somali people to distinguish between their enemies and their allies, and to turn their backs on those who are causing insecurity.
