PM Roble brings together Abdi Hashi and Mahdi Guled to resolve Somaliland electoral issue

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, today met with the Speaker of the Upper House and the Deputy Prime Minister in his office.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Roble instructed Speaker Abdi Hashi and Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Guled to resolve their differences, that has now caused the Somaliland Electoral Commission to split into two factions, within a short period of time.

Prime Minister Roble concluded by strongly urging the two leaders to find a united vision for the upcoming elections regarding the northern regions.

This meeting comes after the Prime Minister yesterday said he’ll continue the consultations on the Somaliland electoral issues and that solution’s were imminent.

Somalia is expected to finally head to the polls after many setbacks that had seen elections delayed.
