Somali PM Roble meets ICFE chief in London

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, accompanied by the Minister of Education, met in London with Alice Albright, Director General of the International Cooperation Fund for Education.
The two sides discussed the development of education projects in Somalia and a strategy to support education in Somalia over the next five years.
After the meeting, the Somali Minister of Education said that the talks were successful and that the issues discussed were agreed upon with a final framework.
The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble and a delegation led by him are in London, United Kingdom, where he is attending the International Conference on Improving the Quality of Children’s Education.
Although the meeting provides opportunities for the countries education sector, Some analysts question why it was so important for the prime minister to travel to a international conference amidst a complex political tangle in the country with the overdue scheduled elections again delayed this week due to technical reasons.
Jubbaland is the only federal state that plans to hold upper house elections this week (Thursday) while some Federal States are still to name electoral commission committee’s.
