President Farmaajo celebrates Eid with military troops

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, today celebrated Eid al-Adha with a contingent of the Somali National Army and commended them for their selfless commitment to defending their country and protecting the dignity of their people.
The President said that the heroes of the Armed Forces who stood for the liberation of the country and the sacrifices made in the elimination of the terrorists group Al-Shabaab will go down in history, as they endured it in difficult circumstances to liberate their country.
“You are a national army that stands for the defense of the country, the restoration of statehood and the protection of the dignity of the Somali people. I congratulate you on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and your national duty. It is a great pleasure for me to have such events with you as you are the heroes we are proud of” the president said in the occasion.
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia praised the ongoing counter-terrorism operations against Al Shabab, and encouraged the heroes of the Armed Forces to achieve great success in their operations in the areas where the terrorists are hiding.
