President Gudlawe hosts state dinner to newly elected senators in Hirshabelle

The president of Hirshabelle region Ali Abdullahi Hussein Gudlawe last night hosted a dinner in honor of some of the new senators of the upper house of the federal parliament at the presidential palace in Jowhar.

At the welcoming meeting, President Ali Gudlawe first congratulated the new senators on their victory in the Upper House elections in Jowhar.

The President of Hirshabelle also urged the senators representing Hirshabelle in the Upper House of the Federal Parliament to work for the people of Hirshabelle, and work for the unity and solidarity of the Somali people.

“I congratulate them on their victory and urge them to work for the people of Hirshabelle and work for the unity and solidarity of the Somali people,” said President Ali Gudlawe.

The dinner was attended by Hirshabelle Vice President Yusuf Ahmed Hagar Daba-Ged, Speaker of Parliament Abdihakin Luqman Mohamed, Deputy Speaker, Ministers and Members of Parliament.

In the coming days, the remaining two senators will be elected in Jowhar, the capital of Middle Shabelle region, to complete the 8 senators in the upper house of parliament representing Hirshabelle state.
