Prime Minister-designate meets with Speaker of both Houses

The newly named Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, today paid a courtesy call to the Speaker of the Upper House, Senator Abdi Hashi Abdillahi, at his residence.

Speaker Abdi Hashi praised the new Prime Minister and prayed for his success in fulfilling his responsibilities.

For his part, Prime Minister-designate Hamsa Abdi Barre thanked Speaker Abdi Hashi for his support and efforts in the holding of elections in the country.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre also paid a courtesy call to the Speaker of the House of the People Adam Mohamed Nur (Madobe) and congratulated him on his appointment.

The Prime Minister called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives to assist him in gaining the confidence of the House of Representatives to form a new government.

Somali Prime Minister-designate Hamsa Abdi Barre is also expected to hold talks with Somali and regional government officials in the coming hours.
