Prime Minister Roble meets with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble met with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House in Mombasa.

The two sides discussed the resumption of diplomatic relations, based on a joint agreement signed by the two countries in 2015, which stipulates cooperation between trade, investment, transport, defense and security.

There has been no official word on the meeting between Prime Minister Roble and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has arrived in the Kenyan port city of Mombasa, where he was warmly welcomed.

Prime Minister Roble’s visit to Kenya is the first official visit by a senior Somali government official since relations soured earlier this year.
