Prime Minister Roble welcomed in Dhusamareb

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble arrived in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug state this afternoon.

The Prime Minister and his delegation were welcomed at Ugas Nur Airport by Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoor Qoor, Galmudug Parliament Speaker, officials and the general public.

While in Dhusamareb, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with Galmudug officials and various segments of the society to discuss elections, peacebuilding and the development of social services.

Roble’s visit is related to ensuring the conduct of parliamentary elections for members from the upcoming Galmudug state federal parliament.

According to reports, the prime minister will hold private meetings with Galmudug’s top leaders to discuss the country’s elections.

The meeting is also expected to address the ongoing conflict between Ahlu Sunna and Galmudug on the outskirts of Dhusamareb in Galgadud region.

Prime Minister Roble’s trip to Dhusamareb marks the beginning of a series of trips he will make to regional administration headquarters, to observe the 2021 elections.
