Puntland President Deni meets with Ethiopian army officers

The President of Puntland Said Abdullahi Deni has tonight at the Presidential Palace in Garowe, received senior officers from the Ethiopian army and the chief Ethiopian Consul in Puntland, Dagnachew Yitbarak.
The meeting discussed the cooperation between the two sides in the field of security, the fight against terrorist groups and how to have a unified plan against everything that is against stability and security as stated in a statement from the Puntland Presidency.
The meeting also discussed business cooperation between the two sides and the movement of people.
The President was accompanied at the meeting by the Vice President Ahmed Ilmi Osman (Karaash), the Minister of Internal Affairs and Democratization of Puntland Mohamed Abdirahman Dhabanad, the Commander of the Deravish Army Brigadier General Yasin Omar Dheere, the Deputy Commander of the Deravish Army and officials from the Puntland Presidency.
Since the election victory of President Hassan Sheikh, Ethiopia has stepped up its direct dealings and inteference on regional leaders.
The military of the Ethiopian government has been conducting activities in the bordering areas of the regional governments, since Al-Shabaab crossed the borders of the Bakool and Hiran regions, and these officers have already gone to the cities of Baydhabo and Hargeisa.
