Puntland State Convicts drug traffickers

The Governor of Mudug region, Mr. Abdilatif Muse Nur, has issued a stern warning to anyone involved in the drug and alcohol trade, which has become rampant in Puntland.
Speaking at a public square where 20 cartons of illegal alcohol were being destroyed, Governor Sanyare instructed all security agencies in Galkayo city full order to arrest anyone found to be in compliance with the law and to stop anyone who fights them.
The governor of Mudug region also called on the people to take part in the fight against drugs and human traffickers, and said that the war and operations in the region have been diverted to the fight against illegal drugs.
He said his administration would never accept drug-based insecurity in the Mudug region.
