Registration of candidates for the remaining seats in the Upper House begins today

The registration of candidates for the two seats in the Upper House of the Galmudug administration is expected to begin on Thursday in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug.
The Galmudug State Electoral Commission will continue the registration, verification and certification of candidates for the two seats from today until tomorrow, while the elections will be held next Saturday.
The two remaining seats in the Upper House of the Galmudug Administration, the last two seats in the Upper House, are up for grabs by four candidates.
- Abdi Hassan Awale (Qaybdiid) who is currently sitting in this seat
- Cawil Nuur Cali
The second round of elections will be contested by:
- Abdi Osman Hareed
- Mahad Adan Guled.
In the coming hours, a delegation from the Federal Electoral Commission and the Dispute Resolution Committee will arrive in Dhusamareb to witness the election of the two seats in the Upper House.
