Russian president receives credentials from new Somali ambassador to Russia

In a brief ceremony at the Russian presidential palace, President Vladimir V. Putin addressed the newly-appointed ambassadors of 21 ambassadors from various countries, including Somalia.

President Putin wished the Somali government success in its fight against extremism and terrorism and in its efforts to maintain its territorial integrity.

Mr. Hassan Abdi Daud is working to enhance diplomatic relations between Somalia and Russia, particularly in the areas of economic cooperation, education, health, trade and the military.
