Shabelle River floods again near Jowhar

Reports from Jowhar town, the provincial capital of HirShabelle State say that the river Shabelle has flooded some parts near Jowhar district.
The river flooded areas near the southeast of Jowhar town including Bayahow and Bodale settlements.
The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the HirShabelle administration, Mohamed Omar Aimoy, called on the residents of the river to be vigilant against the floods, adding that the HirShabelle administration will do its utmost to prevent the floods.
The flooding of the Shabelle River in Bodale and Bayahow areas has resulted in the destruction of agricultural lands.
The Shabelle River has previously flooded Baarey area and with the Baareey dam successfully closed.
