Somali government allocates $ 1 million for drought relief

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, chairing a meeting of the Drought Relief Committee, announced that the Government has allocated an initial $ 1 million for drought relief.
Prime Minister Roble instructed the Drought Relief Committee to provide immediate assistance to the worst affected areas.
He said the Somali government is committed to continuing to provide assistance to those affected by the drought.
Roble also called on Somali business community and the diaspora to play an active role in helping those in need.
