A Somali businessman has been shot dead by a group of armed robbers in South Africa.

Mahad Dheere, a Somali national, was shot dead by robbers at his shop in Mamelodi, South Africa’s capital, Pretoria.

South African police have arrived at the scene of the killings, conducting a search operation for the gunmen behind the killing of the Somali national but have not been able to apprehend them.

One Somali businessman living in South Africa who was near the scene of the killing said that before the killing of Mahad, there was an argument between the gang and the Somali national.
