Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has appointed a committee to organize the 62nd anniversary of independence Day week to be held from June 26th to July 1st.
The 16-member committee is tasked with coordinating the institutions involved in organizing Somali Independence Day.
The commission will also appoint a technical subcommittee to organize independence day celebrations, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The committee is chaired by the Minister of Information, Mr. Osman Abukar Dube, with the Deputy Minister of Internal Security, Mr. Abdullahi Mohamed Nur, as well as members of the Cabinet and the Governor of Benadir Region.
