Somali Police Command issues statement on the killing of Zakariye & Sowdo

Somali police spokesman Abdifatah Aden Hassan, who was accompanied by relatives of Zakariye and Sowdo who were killed last night in Mogadishu, gave details of the killing and the perpetrators.
Speaking to the media in Mogadishu, the spokesman said that the killing took place last night at the Dambe intersection, and that soldiers in police vehicle, had opened fire to open the road which was busy and crowded.
He added that the Somali Police Force, in particular the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), is investigating the case and a statement will be issued soon.
The announcement by the Somali Police Force comes at a time when some relatives in Zakaria and Sowdo have said that the bodies will not be buried until justice is served.
