Somali Prime Minister warns regional administration leaders against electoral fraud

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble meet with the Dispute Resolution Committee and the Chairperson of the Federal Electoral Implementation Committee.
The meeting discussed resolving grievances over the parliamentary elections, urging state leaders and electoral commissions to maintain transparency.
Prime Minister Roble said it would never be acceptable for state election commissions to get involved in politics and work for state leaders.
He noted that everyone will be held accountable for the conduct of the elections.
The Union of Candidates recently said it has completely boycotted the election of members of the House of Representatives, adding that the process had been ‘looted’.
