Somalia: Agreement on Proportional Representation of the Country Approved

The Committee on Ministries, which is responsible for advising and deciding on the country’s natural resources, has unanimously approved an agreement on the country’s shareholding system.

The Minister of Petroleum and Minerals of the Federal Government of Somalia Abdirashid Mohamed Ahmed described the agreement as an important step.

“It is an important step that will definitely play a role in our efforts to explore and utilize our resources, for the benefit of our nation,” said Federal Minister of Petroleum and Minerals Abdirashid Mohamed Ahmed.

Somalia is now gearing up to take advantage of its diverse natural resources, and the Federal Government is working to explore and prepare for the country’s natural resource development.
