Somalia: Elected Member of Parliament Dies

Mohamud Muhumed Kulow, a new member of parliament, has died in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, this afternoon.

He has reportedly been in Nairobi since his election but has been suffering from a number of ailments.

The Jubbaland State president offered his condolences on the death of the lawmaker, and said he was part of an active Jubbaland community.

“Mohamud Muhumed Kulow, is widely remembered for his role in the important work of the Jubbaland government in various sectors, especially in social affairs where he was prominent in” said the State President of Jubbaland.

He added: “I send my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and I pray to God to give him paradise.”
