Somalia: Security Forces Arrest gang in Mogadishu

Police in Karaan district of Benadir region have arrested armed robbers who are said to have committed acts of murder, causing injuries and robing locals in the district.

The Gunmen killed a woman and wounded three others at a market in Karaan district last night, as well as robbing civilians.

A statement from the administration of Karaan district said that the security forces arrested the robbers who committed the murder and robbery in Karaan district, and the administration said that the gangs were handed over to the criminal investigation department.

The number of armed robberies in Karaan district has been on the rise in recent weeks with the security forces having repeatedly arrested some of the robbers and other criminals in their combat against crime.
