Northern regions election commission says elections will begin

Chairman of the Northern Regions Electoral Commission (Somaliland) Khadar Harir Hussein said that in the next two weeks the elections for the House of the People of Somaliland will begin.
He said Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble had facilitated all the work needed to speed up Somaliland’s parliamentary elections.
The speaker noted that for the past two days they have been inspecting the venues for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Somaliland.
The speaker pointed out that in the next two weeks, there is hope that the elections will be held soon and that the first members of parliament will emerge.
The chairman’s decision came after a meeting was held in Mogadishu today between Somaliland election officials and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
