‘Former Speaker Jawari is in good health and went for a check up only’ – Secretary General of Parliament

The Secretary General of the House of the People of Somalia Mr. Abdikarim Haji Abdi (Buux) issued a statement on the health condition of the former Speaker of Parliament Prof. Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari, who has been admitted to one of the hospitals in Mogadishu in the past few hours.
The secretary of parliament first denied reports that the former speaker was in poor health.
Buux assured the Somali people that former speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari is in good health, adding that the information posted on the internet is far from the truth.
Abdikarim Buux also pointed out that Jawari went to the hospital for check-ups and to review on his general condition.
“The Secretary General of the House of the People, Mr. Abdikarim Haji Abdi Buuh, assures all Somalis that the former Speaker of the Federal Parliament Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari is in good health and has gone to the hospital for a check-up only, contrary to the rumours” said the secretary of parliament.
Finally, he called on the Somali people to beware of fake news, especially through social media.
Former Speaker Professor Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari, a highly respected individual within the Somali world, was admitted to Yardimeli Hospital in Mogadishu, but his condition is reported to be ‘fine’, according to doctors and relatives.
