Suicide bomber strikes in Mogadishu

A suicide bomber blew himself up near the Medina Hospital and Villa Baidoa in Mogadishu, witnesses and security sources confirmed.
According to security sources, the blast was carried out by a man wearing a suicide vest. Preliminary reports indicate that so far the only casualties have been confirmed are that of the suicide bomber.
Somali police spokesman Abdifatah Aden Hassan said in a statement, “24-09-2021 at around 15:03 PM a suicide bomber blew himself up between Medina Hospital and Villa Baidoa, there were no casualties. except for the one who killed himself.”
The blast, which was heard in several districts in Benadir region, did not cause any casualties other than the death of the suicide bomber, according to the Somali Police Force.
