Talks between the President and Prime Minister in resolving issue’s break-down

The hours-long talks between President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble ended last night, with no results in finding an agreement to end a dispute that has caused national headlines.
Federal State leaders of South West and Galmudug State have managed to bring together the two leaders who have been in a dispute over the National Intelligence Agencies claim that its agent Ikran Tahlil Farah was abducted and murdered by Al shabab, a outcome that was denied by Al shabab and rejected by the Prime Minister after a public outcry for full investigation into the case.
A source with the office of the President told MTVSomali.com that President Farmaajo has insisted that he will never allow the Ikran Tahlil Farah case to be investigated independently, by a military tribunal, while Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has said in his return that he will never accept that the case be covered and that Ikran Tahlil Farah and her family must receive justice.
Members close to Galmudug and South West mediators said they were puzzled as to why the president was not seeking justice for Ikran Tahlil and her family.
Some reports suggest he may be keeping a close eye on former NISA commander Fahad Yassin, or that the case may involve the highest institution in the country.
Reports in the early hours of last night said that President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble came close to understanding each other and agreed on many points they were discussing, but it is being reported that the meeting was called off late last night.
“Prime Minister Roble, who declined to be blamed for a military clash in Mogadishu and be accused of initiating an attack, wanted to give the talks a chance, but it is unclear what action he would take now” a source within the Prime Minister’s office told media.
“Prime Minister Roble is now facing a dilemma and has two challenging role to deal with and if Bashir Goobe, who he had appointed, does not go to NISA’s HQ, it’ll translate to a victory for the former NISA chief and President Farmaajo in undermining the Prime Minister, and if Mohamed Hussein Roble was to initiate force, it could result in more bloodshed, putting a huge blame and responsibility on the prime minister’s shoulder” the source from the office of the prime minister added.
