Wife poison’s Quranic teacher husband in Beledweyne

Omar Maalim Mohamed, a Quranic school teacher, was killed last night after his wife had given him poison according the family members of the deceased.
The incident took place in the Hawa-Tako neighborhood of Beledweyne, the capital of Hiran region.
Relatives of the deceased told media that Maalim Omar had recently married the woman.
Omar Maalim Mohamed was a long time religious teacher and was very well known figure in the community according to neighbor’s.
It is not clear what had motivated the wife to give him poison.
Reports from the town of Beledweyne confirm that the wife of the suspect has been arrested and is being investigated by police.
According to our sources, the teacher’s food was laced with poison by his wife which had resulted to him suffocating after Medical efforts to revive by neighbors had failed.
”The incident has deeply shocked many residents” said Shukri Afraax, a neighbor of the family told MTVSomali.com.
