Woman killed in Mogadishu; More details emerging

A woman was shot dead by gunmen near the Digfer hospital in Mogadishu on this morning, witnesses said.
The woman, identified as Dahabo Jim’ale Tohow, was reportedly a member of the Somali National Army and was shot dead by gunmen at her home near Digfer Hospital in Mogadishu.
Witnesses said the assailants fled the scene, and Somali government forces went to the area where the killings took place, conducting a operation.
Insecurity in Mogadishu has intensified in the past 24 hours, with one car bomb exploding in the city yesterday, killing and injuring several people.
In recent days, there has been an increase in the number of assassinations of government soldiers and civilians in Mogadishu, with some of the killings claimed by Al-Shabaab while others being carried out by armed robbers.
